6 Product Page Factors that Drive Sales on an ECommerce Site

Product pages undoubtedly is perhaps the most neglected area when it comes to ecommerce sites. You can have the best design in the world but if your product page isn’t optimized well enough for your visitor, chances are you are leaving cash on the table.

Here are a few factors which can greatly influence the number of sales you make.

Low price Tag

Low price remains the vital key for an Ecommerce site’s success. Maintaining a lower price tag compared to your competitors helps your site stand in the market a step ahead of others.

Reliability

Make sure that your products are from authorized dealers. Show the consumers that goods sold from your site are absolutely original. Better to have an authentication seal on your product page. There are many websites which sell counterfeit goods, so people expect an authentication. It’s better to have manufacturer warranty for all your products.

Discount & Coupon code

Everyone is crazy in getting goods at a price lesser than its actual MRP. Providing discounts attract many more customers to your site. People also tend to search for your site’s discount coupons on Google, so make sure you provide your company’s discount coupon to all leading coupon finder websites.

Availability of product

Always display the availability of the product and if the product is not available try to display its arrival date. Tell the customer whether the product is in stock or not. A marketing tactic which you can use is try to make the customer feel like there is only limited availability for a specific producy so that he gets a sense of emergency to buy the product.

Easy shopping

Provide the customer with a shopping cart and an easy buy option. Attractive call to action buttons like “Add to Cart” & “Buy Now” can certainly help in facilitating sales. Also ensure your checkout process is not too complicated. Don’t force your customers to register on your site before checking out. Allow them to checkout as a guest. Lower the number of steps involved in the checkout process, more will be number of sales.

Reviews

Request your customers to leave a review about the product they bought. Allow both positive and negative reviews so it doesn’t appear to your new visitors that you have purposely sugarcoated those reviews just in order to generate more sales.
