Ever since, we have started the trend of coming making the list of amazing news stories around the world, trust me I actually fall short of words each time a sit to plan what to write and how to play with words to talk in length about the weird happenings and people. In the end I just stop thinking about what to write and how to go about writing, I simply sit down and go about writing whatever comes to my mind.

1. 17-year-old sells his kidney for iPad 2

You surely have come across lot many Apple freaks but then you would surely be amazed to meet the one who would be ready to sell the organs to get one. Scary it sounds but is true! A youngster in China’s Anhui province wanted the new iPad 2 tablet so badly that he was willing to part with a kidney to be afford it. The 17-year-old high school student named Zheng, was contacted by the broker on the Internet who readily offered his help for the guy to sell his one kidney for 20,000 yuan which he got after the operation. This is actually scary and weird news that left lot many people around the globe amazed.

2. BMX Rider Performs World’s First Triple Back Flip

Jed Mildon is a 24 year old New Zealand resident who became the first BMX rider to perform a triple backflip. He after riding down a 20 meter ramp, then up a 3.6 meter ramp, made a flip that was simply amazing.

3. Painting’s artwork sells for £3000

Napoleon is a four-year-old black stallion who left lot many spectators amazed with his amazing talent of creating the masterpiece. It’s a pure-bred Dutch Friesian, a breed of draught horse more commonly known for the equestrian world for their skill at dressage. Three private collectors have already snapped up the paintings of this ingenious artist each selling for between 3,300 and 6,000 euros.

4. Dentures save Brazil man shot in face

An elderly Brazilian man was shot in the face and guess what he escaped death because of his dentures that deflected a bullet headed for his brain. The 81-year-old Zacarias Pacheco de Moraes was shot while working in a bar which he owns in the small western city of Alta Floresta.

5. Tornado dog crawls home to owners on broken legs

Mason, a terrier mix finding his way back home, 20 days after he went missing after tornadoes hit despite having sustained two broken front legs turned up the US state of Alabama on 27 April. Mason underwent three-and-a-half hours of surgery to fix his broken legs, and is recovering and learning to get around on his splints.

6. Nearly £1,500 found down the back of charity shop sofa

Karen Wilson, the manager of a charity furniture store in Rugby, Warks, dicovered £1,500 stuffed down the back of a sofa that was donated to a charity shop. However, the owners of the money were traced with the help of Gift Aid form they had filled in and were returned the money.


7. Man finds the ring that he dropped down toilet 73 years ago

Jesse Mattos, 90-year-old man accidentally dropped his commemorative high school ring down a lavatory in 1938. In the shocking incident, the man found his ring after long 73 years. The ring was found 200 miles away in a sewer by a sanitation worker who happened to have gone to the same school and recognized it.

8. Child named after Facebook’s ‘like’ feature

Lior Adler and Vardit, an Israeli couple has named their daughter after a feature on the social networking site Facebook. The girl has been named Like, after a button that allows users to express their approval of photographs, links and status updates. Modern and innovative!

Christopher Boffoli from Seattle creates miniature representations of everyday scenes using tiny model figures and foodstuffs. Christopher has toured Disparity collection in galleries throughout the USA.

10. Man tries to take pony on train

A rail passenger in north Wales tried to board a train with his pony but was not allowed. The man tried to buy a ticket for himself and the animal for the 19.02pm service from Wrexham to Holyhead. Despite being denied for taking the animal in the carriage, the put the pony into a lift and took it down to the platform.

11. American man eats 25,000th Big Mac

59-year-old Don Gorske at McDonald’s in his hometown of Fond du Lac leaved people wide mouth opened by having his 25000th Big Mac. Mr Gorske, appeared in the 2004 documentary Super Size Me, which examined the fast food industry. A true fast food junkie I must say.

12. Magnetic boy

Six-year-old Croatian boy Ivan Stoiljkovic can hang up to 25kg of metal from his chest, including cutlery, coins and even a non-stick frying pan. Ivan from Koprivnica in Croatia has the body that can make metallic objects such as spoons, mobile phones and even frying pans simply stick. Ivan is much stronger child than his peer group and has the capability to easily carry bags of cement as heavy as 50lbs.

13. Trapped bull smashes way out of clothes shop

A runaway bull smashed its way out of a small clothes shop in Brazil. Shoppers in the town of Sao Jose do Rio Preto saw the bull that took up residence in the clothing store after escaping from a vehicle. Some people tried to capture bull but as they approached it smashed head first through the shop’s glass window. The men later managed to lasso the raging bull as it broke free and took it to local cattle farm.

14. Two-headed baby born in China

A mother in China has given birth to conjoined twins who share a single body. The babies were born by caesarean at the Suining City Central Hospital in Sichuan. The twins weighed 9 pounds (4 kilograms) and measured 20 inches (51 centimetres). The abnormality didn’t come into notice and ultra sounds failed to reveal the two heads because the technicians were viewing the single embryo in profile.

15. Chinese Guy Cuts Cucumbers With Cards

The 23-year-old Bai Deng Chun astonished by cutting the cucumber with cards. He broke his own record by slicing through 12 cucumbers in under 100 seconds. Bai is a kung fu and card game enthusiast, who has been practicing his throwing card technique since he was six years old and can slice through cucumbers, watermelons and eggs.

16. Cuban sets cigar world record

Castelar Cairo, known as ‘Cueto’, along with a team of helpers as part of an event put on by the Cuban tourism ministry created 268 feet long stogie to break its own record.

17. Monkey cowboys ride dogs at Tim Lepard’s ‘Wild Thang’ rodeo act

Tim ‘Wild Thang’ Lepard and his band of dog along with Capuchin monkeys entertained the crowd by doing the round up rams in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Tim Lepard’s four monkey and dog teams are known as the ‘Ghost Riders’.

18. Dancing Chinese grandmother becomes star

Bai Shuying, 65, appeared on the first episode of the new season of China’s Got Talent and leaved the audience amazed with her great talent. Mrs Bai learnt amazing dance steps herself. Hats off!

19. Acupuncture needle removed from lung of former South Korean president

You would call it a miracle but I guess I would call it the weird incident. Imagine Roh Tae-woo, who served as South Korean president from 1988 to 1993 was admitted to the hospital for he had the bad cough only to end up on the operating table to remove an acupuncture needle from his right lung. The needle has been removed but doctors were amazed as to how the needle ended up in his lung.

20. Wrestler’s bizarre declaration of Osama bin Laden’s death

May witnessed the assault of the al-Qaeda mastermind Osama Bin Laden’s death. To inform about the killing to the patriotic resident, World Wrestling Entertainment championship, John Cena was chosen. He announced that Osama bin Laden had been killed by US forces and the crowd responded in the positive way. The news definitely is not weird but the method adopted to announce it sounded somewhat strange.
