15 Much Needed Features Users Want To See In Apple iPhone 5

Year 2010 was one of the major year in the history of smart phones with launch of exceptionally great smart phones from Apple, Motorola, Samsung, HTC, etc. As a gadget freak myself, 2010 was great year for me too because I purchased the most popular smart phones of the year – Samsung Galaxy S and Apple iPhone 4. I got the chance to use both Android and iOS simultaneously and I don’t hesitate to say that Apple iPhone 4 is still the best smart phone available in the market. But, I am not here to tell you which one is best – Apple iPhone 4 or Samsung Galaxy S. There are already lots of articles you can find on Internet to check the complete comparison between these two smart phones.

Its been nearly a month when Apple ended 3 years exclusive deal with AT & T and launched new iPhone 4 with Verizon network. Since the debut of iPhone 4 to Verizon, there are lots of rumors going on about next generation iPhone will be launching this summer soon.

Though, if u know expect from small changes in design and antenna there was not much of difference between iPhone 4 from Verizon network in comparison to AT & T  version. Still, lots of speculation going around on the new iPhone 5 with many discussions taking place over new features and functionalities of iPhone 5.

That’s the reason, I thought this could be the best time to come up with a list of most-wanted features users want to see in the next generation iPhone 5. 1. iPhone 5 – 4G Network Compatibility

Guys, its iPhone 4 not iPhone 4G. One major feature that is lacking from Apple iPhone 4 is 4G data network compatibility. Companies like AT & T, Sprint and Verizon rolled up their next-generation data network but unfortunately, iPhone 4 will not support 4G data on both AT & T and Verizon. Hope to see 4G network support will come in iPhone 5.

2. iPhone 5 – Choice of Carriers

Apple has ended 3 years long exclusive deal with AT & T and that’s the reason you have seen Verizon iPhone 4 CDMA version. But, consumers will surely be delighted to find iPhone 5 with their favorite carriers like Sprint or T-Mobile.

3. iPhone 5 – Battery Life

Ok, I know if you are purchasing a smart phone you can’t think of a huge battery life because of its continuous usage of data, GPS services and much more. But, we had seen in the past every time new iPhone comes with a better battery life. Apple company says that iPhone 4 has 40 percent more talk time capability than iPhone 3GS. That’s the reason I am looking forward to a better battery life in upcoming version of iPhone 5.

Using your iPhone as a universal remote is surely a cool idea but I don’t like to attach an IR dongle every time I have to use my phone as a universal remote. How about built-in infrared will come in iPhone 5?

5. iPhone 5 – HD Output Function

Personally for me this is must-have feature I want in new iPhone 5. At presently, you can’t see 720p or 1080i HD video from any version of iPhone. I think they will take some inspiration from Android OS powered EVO that come with full HD support via HDMI.

6. iPhone 5 – Better 3D Graphics

In recent iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, Apple is using PowerVR SGX535 chip. Hope to see iPhone 5 will equipped with PowerVR SGX545 chip for better graphics and 3D acceleration.

We have recently seen that mobile manufactures like Motorola, Samsung and LG are coming with dual-core Android phones in the near future. Hope this rumor will be implemented and iPhone 5 will become much faster than recent version.

Am I asking too much here? If you can’t launch iPhone 5 with 64GB internal memory at least give us option to expand memory by giving SD card slot.

11. iPhone 5 – High Quality Camera

Most high-end Android Phones from Sony, Samsung, HTC are coming with 8 megapixel camera, we only hope that Apple will come forward and improves the camera quality with better megapixels for the next-generation iPhone. Hey Steve, don’t be too rigid. Please provide Flash support on the next iPhone because I don’t want to miss the fun Android users are having with Flash-support games and videos.

13. iPhone 5 – Better Voice Control Functionality

I am looking for better voice control functions in next generation iPhone. Though, its still good but what about having feature of composing message or email by using your voice. I am using this feature already in my another Android phone quite easily and it certainly saves lot of my time.

14. iPhone 5 – Customizable Home Screen

I am using both iPhone and Android phone from quite a long time. One thing I liked about Android most and wish I had the same feature in iPhone is customizable home screen where I can get glimpse of every detail within home screen.

15. iPhone 5 – Cloud-based syncing

iPhone desperately needs cloud-based synchronisation because setting up its Android phone is super easy – enter your Gmail account details and your phone will immediately start downloading all your Google-based data like contacts, calendar, events, etc. Where as, iPhone is fully dependable on iTunes for any kind of media syncing or activation.
